I grew up owning Morgan horses, so the bond between horse and rider has been part of my life for a long time. It is a joy to support that partnership at Helping Horse as it opens doors for individuals with disabilities. I hold a Master of Management, Risk and Analytics from NC State and a Bachelor of Social Work. For more than 15 years, I have led finance, operations, and governance for complex organizations, including higher education. That pairing, a head for stewardship and a heart for people, is what I hope to bring to this board as Helping Horse grows. My social-work roots taught me to keep the people we serve at the center of every decision. I am honored to support the riders, families, and volunteers who make this community so special.

Riding has helped Kate respond faster and talk loud enough for the horses to hear commands like "walk on!" Each week she meets her horse, Del, at the gate and is ready to ride. Helping Horse really is an awe-inspiring program.

Being able to see Cassie's joy and love for the horses, the therapeutic riding activities, and the people brings us immeasurable feelings of belonging to a group of people who connects with ALL of our family...
