My name is Meredith and I have the privilege of working as Helping Horse’s Administrative an Campaign Coordinator. In my role, I mostly focus on fundraising, marketing, community engagement, and volunteer coordination.
My first experience working with horses was as summer camp Barn Staff during my high school summers. I then volunteered as a Horse Leader at Helping Horse while attending UNC-Chapel Hill. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and minor in neuroscience, desiring to work in a profession that serves people through innovative therapeutic activities.
From 2019 to 2023 I worked as the full-time Leadership and Development Director for a residential summer camp located in the North Carolina mountains. Since December 2023, I have enjoyed my days back at the farm as part of the Helping Horse family and working towards obtaining my Master of Public Health from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC-Chapel Hill.
When not working (or studying), you can find me wrangling my dogs – Gracie, Cooper, and Reggie – and enjoying and adventurous life with my husband, Stephen, as a newly married couple (as of September, 2025).
If I were a horse, my name would be Zinnia and my favorite snack would be strawberries.
