I began volunteering at Helping Horse in 2025 and was honored to join the Board of Directors soon after as Marketing Chair. I bring more than 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising, including roles at Accenture and WRAL.

I graduated from both UNC Chapel Hill and East Carolina University and have called the Triangle home since 1997, when I arrived from Finland as an au pair. My love of horses began as a teenager, when I learned to ride and helped care for racehorses. After rediscovering riding a few years ago, I’ve been making up for lost time. Today, I ride my lease horse twice a week and volunteer as a horse leader at Helping Horse.

What has impressed me most about Helping Horse is the incredible community that surrounds it. The dedication of the staff and volunteers, along with the joy the horses bring to riders and their families, make this a truly special place. It’s a privilege to play a small part in an organization that makes such a meaningful difference in our community.
