I am originally from northeast Ohio, but have lived in the Carolinas since 2010. I currently live in Charlotte and work as a Legal Analyst with TIAA. In August 2023, I became the Director and Chair of the Helping Horse Development Committee. I’ve had the opportunity to apply for a few directorships with other organizations, but chose Helping Horse for their dedication to helping children and their love and care of horses. Having always loved animals, I also volunteer and foster for the Humane Society.
My favorite part of being involved with Helping Horse is getting to know the people of the organization. Their genuine kindness and dedication will make Helping Horse an amazing program for years to come, and I love being a part of that.

Riding has helped Kate respond faster and talk loud enough for the horses to hear commands like "walk on!" Each week she meets her horse, Del, at the gate and is ready to ride. Helping Horse really is an awe-inspiring program.

Being able to see Cassie's joy and love for the horses, the therapeutic riding activities, and the people brings us immeasurable feelings of belonging to a group of people who connects with ALL of our family...
